Welcome, I’m Kristy!
I’m a self-taught DIYer and designer helping you create a home you love—one project at a time. Whether you’re looking for inspiration or have never picked up a power tool, I’m here to show you that you can transform your home yourself without spending thousands to do it.
I live in Arizona with four cats who are always ready to “help” with the next project.
I bought my first home at 21 and quickly discovered a love for remodeling and design. After completely transforming that house, I sold it in 2020 and moved on to my second home—and another round of projects.
My dream is to keep transforming spaces, eventually owning rental properties, Airbnbs, and maybe even flipping a few homes along the way.
More than anything, I hope this space inspires you to pick up a power tool and try something new. DIY isn’t always easy, and my projects certainly aren’t always perfect, but that’s part of the process. Every project teaches you something and gives you the confidence to tackle the next one.
We all start somewhere. My first project was a blanket ladder made with 2x4s, a hand saw, a hammer, and nails. Would I do it differently today? Absolutely. But I built it—and that’s what mattered.

The best feeling is getting to say “WOW I made that!”

How did I get started with DIY and design?
It actually starts with growing up.
My dad was always working on something—around the house, in the yard, or on a car. We weren’t the kind of family that called a professional when something broke. My dad figured out how to fix it, and for years, he was the person I called whenever I needed help with my own home.
When my dad passed away unexpectedly and my brother moved out of state, I suddenly realized I had to learn how to do those things myself. I bought my first drill, learned how to use a few basic tools, and started small.
Before long, I was painting cabinets, tackling projects around the house, and realizing I was capable of much more than I thought. With every project came a new skill, another tool, and a little more confidence to try something bigger.
Now, every project reminds me of my dad. He taught me that you can figure things out, make things better, and create a home that’s truly your own. I only wish he were here to see everything he inspired me to build.
